City Council Decision

City Council on December 17 and 18, 2019, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council prohibit stopping at all times on the east side of Pape Avenue, between a point 15.7 metres north of Strathcona Avenue and a point 13.8 metres south of Strathcona Avenue.

 

2. City Council amend the existing community safety zone on Pape Avenue, between Withrow Avenue and Poucher Street, to be in effect between Withrow Avenue and a point 62.7 metres south of Langley Avenue.

Community Council Recommendations

The Toronto and East York Community Council recommends that:

 

1. City Council prohibit stopping at all times on the east side of Pape Avenue, between a point 15.7 metres north of Strathcona Avenue and a point 13.8 metres south of Strathcona Avenue.

 

2. City Council amend the existing community safety zone on Pape Avenue, between Withrow Avenue and Poucher Street, to be in effect between Withrow Avenue and a point 62.7 metres south of Langley Avenue.

Summary

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on Pape Avenue, City Council approval of this report is required.

 

At the request of Councillor Paula Fletcher's office, Transportation Services is recommending that stopping be prohibited on the east side of Pape Avenue, between a point 15.7 metres north of Strathcona Avenue and a point 13.8 metres south of Strathcona Avenue, in order to ensure sightlines are not obstructed by accessible parking permit holders.
