Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of Wood Street, from Church Street to Mutual Street.

 

2. Prohibited standing at all times on the south side of Wood Street, from Church Street to Mutual Street.

 

3. Rescinded the existing stopping prohibition in effect from 6:00 p.m. of one day to 8:00 a.m. of the next following day, inclusive, except by permit, on the north side of Wood Street, between a point 29 metres east of Church Street and Mutual Street.

 

4. Rescinded the existing maximum one-hour parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on the north side of Wood Street, between Church Street and Mutual Street.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws.

 

Transportation Services is recommending that standing be prohibited at all times on the south side of Wood Street, between Church Street and Mutual Street, to deter two-sided parking, facilitate the safe and efficient operation of traffic and improve two-way unobstructed traffic flow.
