City Council Decision

City Council on November 26 and 27, 2019, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council rescind the existing parking regulations on Bay Street, between Harbour Street and Queens Quay West, identified in Appendix A to the report (October 17, 2019) from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

 

2. City Council authorize the parking regulations on Bay Street, between Harbour Street and Queens Quay West, identified in Appendix B to the report (October 17, 2019) from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

Community Council Recommendations

The Toronto and East York Community Council recommends that:

 

1. City Council rescind the existing parking regulations on Bay Street, between Harbour Street and Queens Quay West, identified in Appendix A attached to the report (October 17, 2019) from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

 

2. City Council authorize the parking regulations on Bay Street, between Harbour Street and Queens Quay West, identified in Appendix B attached to the report (October 17, 2019) from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

Summary

As the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on Bay Street, City Council approval of this report is required.

 

At the request of the TTC, Transportation Services is recommending amendments to the existing parking regulations on Bay Street, between Harbour Street and Queens Quay West, in order to improve transit operations along this corridor and to incorporate a temporary transfer stop specific for Family of Service customers.
