Origin

(March 28, 2019) Report from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services

Summary

An operational review conducted in 2015 at the intersection of Kingston Road and Harewood Avenue, recommended that parking be prohibited on Kingston Road at the southwest corner of the above-noted intersection by removing one parking spot from the parking lay-by.

It was recently identified by Transportation staff that the distance of the parking prohibition was excessive and resulted in the loss of four on-street parking spaces.

To prevent the loss of four on-street parking spaces, staff recommends changing the existing stopping prohibition at all times on the south side of Kingston Road between Harewood Avenue and a point 36 metres west to 21 metres west.
