North York Community Council:
1. Appointed the following candidates to the North Toronto Memorial Arena Board, at the pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on June 26, 2023, and until successors are appointed:
- Gordon Ashworth
- Karen Stintz
2. Appointed Gillian Jagasai as the Avenue Road Eglinton Community Association representative to the North Toronto Memorial Arena Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on June 26, 2023, and until a successor is appointed
3. Appointed Janice Mitchell as the North Toronto Skating Club representative to the North Toronto Memorial Arena Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on June 26, 2023, and until a successor is appointed

Gordon Ashworth
I have lived in the City of Toronto since 1985. I have coached and been a trainer for the North Toronto Hockey Association for over 25 years and was selected Volunteer of the Year in 2010. I have owned by own company for over 25 years specializing in public relations, communications and government relations. I have been active at the federal ad provincial levels in politics. My past board experience includes sitting on the board of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
Gillian Jagasia - Stakeholder Representative for the Avenue Road - Eglinton Community Association
Gillian Jagasia is a member of the Avenue Road - Eglinton Community Association. She is a retiree who enjoys community involvement to help her neighbourhood be a better place to live in.
Janice Mitchell - Stakeholder Representative for the North Toronto Skating Club
Janice Mitchell has been involved as a parent and as a volunteer at the North Toronto Skating Club for many years. As a Toronto real estate salesperson, she knows first-hand how valuable athletic centres are to the community. She chose to volunteer to help keep them vibrant and accessible for all to enjoy.
Karen Stintz
As a City Councillor from 2003 - 2014, I had the opportunity to serve on several Committees for the local community and the City. As Chair of the TTC from 2010-2014, I implemented several change initiatives at the Commission including outsourcing of non-core functions, introducing of smart-card technology, and Wi-Fi within the subway stations. Prior to serving on Council I worked in the public and private sector. I have a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Science in Journalism.

At its meeting on December 4, 5, and 13, 2018, City Council amended the Public Appointments process to authorize the City Clerk to shortlist, interview and recommend candidates to Community Councils for appointment to North Toronto Memorial Arena Board.
