Kathy Laird, rising on a Point of Privilege after the Chair called for declarations of interest, stated that she has a close personal friendship with Candidate #COA2-66. Ms. Laird advised the Nominating Panel – Committee of Adjustment that although this is not a pecuniary interest it would be awkward for both the candidate and for her if she were to remain in the room for the interview, and advised that she would step out of the room for the interview and for any vote of which the candidate might be a subject.
