City Council Decision
City Council on July 16, 17 and 18, 2019, adopted the following:
1. City Council request the Deputy City Manager, Infrastructure and Development Services to investigate flooding issues in the vicinity of Caledonia Road and Bowie Avenue, adjacent to the Canada Goose Plant, and within the Rockcliffe area to identify any possible short and long-term remedies and to report back to the Infrastructure and Environment Committee in the fourth quarter of 2019.
Background Information (City Council)
Motions (City Council)
That Councillor Mike Colle be permitted to add to the agenda of today's meeting an urgent Motion without Notice concerning:
Addressing Flooding Issues in the Rockcliffe Area
Reason for Urgency:
This Motion is urgent as there is a significant concern that similar types of storm events may occur throughout the summer, as evidence over the past few years (2013 and 2017) where significant storms occurred throughout July and August. It is imperative that City Staff have direction to engage with these affected neighbourhoods in an effort to identify mitigation measures, during the high-risk storm event (summer) season.
