City Council Decision
City Council on June 18 and 19, 2019, adopted the following:
1. City Council approve an exemption from Municipal Code Chapter 743, Streets and Sidewalks to permit two parklets in the eastbound layby at 707 Dundas Street West, generally as shown in Attachment 1 to Motion MM8.6, between the dates of July 1, 2019 and November 14, 2019, including set-up and take-down.
2. City Council direct the General Manager, Transportation Services to issue a street occupation permit from July 1, 2019 to November 14, 2019 in the eastbound layby at 707 Dundas Street West to facilitate the implementation of two parklets subject to terms and conditions to the satisfaction of the General Manager, Transportation Services.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM8.6 be referred to the Toronto and East York Community Council. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
