City Council Decision
City Council on November 26 and 27, 2019, adopted the following:
1. City Council amend the Approved 2019-2028 Parks, Forestry and Recreation Capital Budget and Plan to create a new capital sub-project known as York Stadium Turf Improvements in the Outdoor Recreation Centre project, with a total project cost and 2020 cash flow of $200,000, funded by the Toronto Catholic District School Board for improvements to the turf at York Stadium.
2. City Council authorize the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to execute a license agreement with the Toronto Catholic District School Board for the Board's use of York Stadium during school hours, during the school year and the York Stadium parking lot year-round, with the Toronto Catholic District School Board to pay the City two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) as consideration; additionally, the license agreement will require the Toronto Catholic District School Board to pay fifty-percent of costs associated with future operational maintenance and future capital costs of York Stadium sports field and one hundred percent of the operational maintenance and capital costs associated with the York Stadium parking lot for the term of the license agreement; the license agreement will have an initial term of ten years, with the option for the City to extend the license for a further ten years; and the terms and conditions of the license agreement shall be satisfactory to the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, in consultation with the City Solicitor, and the license agreement shall be in a form acceptable to the City Solicitor.
