Summary

The intersection of Rogers Road and Old Weston Road is on the boundary of Ward 5 York South—Weston and Ward 9 Davenport.

On Friday, November 29th, 2019 a young boy was struck by a car while attempting to cross the street at this location. The boy had to be rushed to hospital; the driver who struck him fled the scene.

From speed reductions to planned pedestrian crossings, there are a number of initiatives planned for this area to improve safety for all road users. Consideration should also be given to redesigning this intersection which many find to be unsafe and confusing.
