Board Decision

The Board of Health:

 

1.  Requested the Medical Officer of Health to report to the Board of Health Budget Committee at its meeting on September 27, 2019 on the following:

 

a.  options for savings in Toronto Public Health's 2020 Budget that do not negatively impact the health status of Torontonians;

 

b.  revenue options; and

 

c.  an update on the development of an alternative proposal for the restructuring of public health in Ontario.

 

2.  Requested the Medical Officer of Health to not implement an in-year hiring freeze in Toronto Public Health.

 

3.  Directed that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachment 1 to the presentation (June 27, 2019) from the Medical Officer of Health remain confidential in its entirely, as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals, including municipal or local board employees, and labour relations or employee negotiations.

That:

 

1.  The Board of Health request the Medical Officer of Health to report to the Board of Health Budget Committee at its meeting on September 27, 2019 on the following:
