The Board of Health:

1.  Requested the Medical Officer of Health to allocate $755,166 for 14 one-year projects in 2019, as recommended by the 2019 Toronto Urban Health Fund Review Panel and outlined in Appendices B and C to the report (June 21, 2019) from the Co-Chair, Toronto Urban Health Fund Review Panel.

2.  Requested the Medical Officer of Health to allocate a total of $2,675,894 in 2019 from the Toronto Urban Health Fund to carry out third-year activities for the 40 three-year projects that were approved by the Board of Health in 2017.

3.  Requested the Medical Officer of Health to execute Funding Agreements with the approved applicants.

This report outlines the Toronto Urban Health Fund's funding priorities, review process, and funding recommendations for the Board of Health's approval. The Toronto Urban Health Fund Review Panel recommends the allocation of $755,166 for 14 one-year projects that focus on HIV prevention, harm reduction, and/or child and youth resiliency to be used between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020. This report also recommends that the Board of Health approve the third year of funding for 40 three-year projects that it approved in 2017.
