Community Council Decision

Etobicoke York Community Council:

 

1.  Requested Transportation Services to report to the Etobicoke York Community Council on the status of the pilot project to close the pedestrian walkway between Acme Crescent and 1735 Kipling Avenue.

 

2.  Requested Transportation Services to post a notice sign on the closed walkway in consultation with the local Councillor.

 

3.  Requested the General Manager, Transportation Services, to report to the Etobicoke York Community Council by Q4, 2019 on the division's strategy to maintain public walkways throughout the Etobicoke York area, in a state of good repair, including information on how these walkways are inventoried, inspected, and maintained.

In 2017 Etobicoke York Community Council voted to support item EY23.36, a pilot project to close the pedestrian walkway between Acme Crescent and 1735 Kipling Avenue. I have received inquiries on the status of this pathway.
