Community Council Decision

Etobicoke York Community Council:

1. Directed staff to schedule a community consultation meeting for the application located at 63 and 73 Widdicombe Hill Boulevard together with the Ward Councillor.

2. Directed that Notice for the community consultation meeting be given to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the application site, and to additional residents, institutions and owners to be determined in consultation with the Ward Councillor, with any additional mailing costs to be borne by the applicant.

3. Requested the Director, Community Planning, Etobicoke York District, to include Toronto Public Health in the circulation for comments with emphasis on aircraft, highway and transportation related noise, and air quality.

Summary

This report provides information and identifies a preliminary set of issues regarding the Zoning By-law Amendment application submitted for 63 and 73 Widdicombe Hill Boulevard. This application seeks to amend the zoning for the site to permit the development of two additional apartment buildings, having heights of 9 and 18 storeys, that would contain a total of 405 rental units. Staff are currently reviewing the application. It has been circulated to all appropriate agencies and City divisions for comment. Staff will proceed to schedule a community consultation meeting for the application with the Ward Councillor.
