City Council Decision

City Council on June 18 and 19, 2019, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council request the City Manager to report, in the third quarter of 2019, on the distribution of flight paths across the City of Toronto and the associated noise, and that the report also:

 

a.  consider that noise levels are not consistent along the entire flight path and can be higher or lower depending on altitude, turning, accelerating/decelerating, and other factors;

 

b.  identify if and/or how some communities, and which communities, are regularly exposed to higher levels of noise than others; and

 

c. include consultation with community stakeholder groups in all parts of the City with subject expertise on airport operations, noise or safety.
