1. Requested the Chair, Board of Governors of Exhibition Place to send a letter to Dianne Young conveying the Board's appreciation for her 22 years of service at Exhibition Place.

The Chair and the Members of the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place acknowledge, thank and applaud Dianne Young, Chief Executive Officer, for her excellent service and dedication as a valued leader at Exhibition Place. Dianne has had an accomplished career at Exhibition Place beginning in 1997. As the Chief Executive Officer, her insight and stewardship played a pivotal role in the development and transformation of the site into a vibrant meetings and entertainment destination. She led the way for Exhibition Place to become a world leader in environmental stewardship, creating a legacy of sustainability for years to come for the visitors and citizens of Toronto. Dianne is retiring from her current position as CEO, after 22 years of dedicated service. Dianne’s professionalism and contribution to the industry have been widely recognized by both staff and industry colleagues; she has been a long standing member of the Board of Tourism Toronto, and has demonstrated leadership in the industry as a whole.
Dianne, a friend and mentor to so many, will be dearly missed at Exhibition Place. A Retirement Scroll from the Mayor’s Office will be presented to Dianne at City Council on June 18th, and a personalized Retirement Desk Sign, Certificate of Appreciation, and a letter conveying the Board’s appreciation will be presented to Dianne for her dedicated service to Exhibition Place at the Board Meeting on June 13th.
Members of the Board, Management and Staff unanimously applaud Dianne and wish her all the best in her retirement.
