Maureen Farrow

Maureen Farrow brings significant experience as an economist that understands the real estate industry, transportation/social policy and finance. She has extensive experience serving on corporate boards and working with government agencies.    

Hartley Lefton

Hartley Lefton is a business lawyer and partner at Dentons Canada LLP.  A graduate of Queen's University (B.Sc. and B.A. Hons.) and the University of Toronto (JD and MBA), Hartley is passionate about making Toronto a more livable city.  Hartley is a past winner (2018) of the Lexpert Rising Star Award, recognizing Canada's leading lawyers under age 40, and is an active volunteer and board member of AboutFace Craniofacial Family Society, an inclusion-based organization.

Allison Mendes

Allison Mendes is Vice Chair of the Board at Four Villages Community Health Centre. Allison is also Chair of the Audit Committee at CorHealth Ontario. Allison has over 18 years of experience working within the financial services industry. Her most recent position was Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Manulife where she managed $2 billion in assets for institutional clients. Allison holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and an MBA in Finance.

Jeffrey Steiner

Jeffrey Steiner is a senior executive and lawyer involved with international trade, the film and TV industry, real estate  and early-stage angel investment.  He leads New Franchise Media Inc., formed to create film and television productions based on the best-selling novels of Jeffrey Archer.  Mr. Steiner recently completed two terms (8 years) as a member of the board of directors of Export Development Canada (EDC) where he chaired the Business Development and Strategy Committee.  He continues to serve on the board of an EDC subsidiary, FinDev Canada Inc, as lead independent director to set up this new development finance institution focussed on poverty reduction and women's economic empowerment in Africa and Latin America. He has served as the CEO of TEDCO from 2002-2009. Earned an ICD.D. in corporate governance.

Namby Vithiananthan

Namby Vithiananthan is a Professional Accountant and is the Chief Financial Officer of the Con-Elco Group of companies. He is the past President and Labour Committee Chair of the Utility Contractors Association of Ontario and the Director of the Council of Ontario Construction Associations. He has a keen interest in community activities and social service. He is currently serving as President of the Henry Farm Community Interest Association and is the past President of the North York Fairview Lions Club.

The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that:  

1.  City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Parking Authority Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office starting on the day all seven Members have been appointed by City Council and ending on June 18, 2021, and until successors are appointed:

3. City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1 to 4 to the report (May 15, 2019) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Parking Authority Board.
