City Council Decision
City Council on April 16 and 17, 2019, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term office ending April 16, 2021, and until successors are appointed:

Brenda Patterson
2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 25, 2019) from the City Clerk remain confidential as it relates to personal information about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.
The balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 25, 2019) from the City Clerk remains confidential in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it relates to personal information about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

Leslie Lewis
Leslie Lewis is a Principal at Onex Corporation where she executes private equity investments. Preceding Onex, Leslie was the Tax, Trade, and International Finance Policy Advisor to the Canadian Minister of Finance in addition to prior experience at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and in investment banking at CIBC. Leslie is the Vice Chair of Rise Asset Development's Investment Committee. Leslie is a former national team athlete in kayaking and a graduate of Acadia University.
Brenda Patterson
Brenda Patterson joined the former Regional Municipality of Metro Toronto in 1986. Prior to joining the Metro government she worked in a series of progressive positions with Family Day Care Services. In 2004 Brenda was appointed General Manager, Children's Services at the City of Toronto and in 2008 became the General Manager of Parks, Forestry and Recreation. In 2011 she was appointed Deputy City Manager and retired from the City in 2014. Brenda has a passion for equity and making life better for those in need, service excellence and fiscal prudence.

At its meeting on December 4, 5, and 13, 2018, City Council amended the Public Appointments process by authorizing the City Clerk to shortlist, interview and recommend candidates to the Civic Appointments Committee for appointment to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre by City Council.
This report recommends the appointment of 2 public members to the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) Board for a two-year term of office, at pleasure of Council ending April 16, 2021, and until successors are appointed.
