City Council Decision

City Council on July 4, 5, 6 and 7, 2017, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council amend the Approved 2017 Parks, Forestry and Recreation Capital Budget for the 2017 CAMP (SGR) Special Facilities Building and Structures sub-project in the Special Facilities project, by increasing the project cost by $150,000 from $3,575,000 to $3,725,000 and the 2017 cash flow from $2,200,000 to $2,350,000, with the $150,000 increase being fully funded from Section 37 funds collected from the development at 1844-1854 Bloor Street West, 35 and 37 Pacific Avenue, 6-14 Oakmount Road and Part of 18 and 18A Oakmount Road (Source Account: XR3026-3700591) for capital improvements to the llama and capybara building in the High Park Zoo.
 

2.  City Council authorize the transfer of up to $200,000 in the 2017 Parks, Forestry and Recreation Capital Budget, from the 2017 CAMP (SGR) Special Facilities Building and Structures sub-project in the Special Facilities project, with $50,000 funded from Capital from Current and $150,000 funded from the Section 37 for 1844-1854 Bloor Street West, 35 and 37 Pacific Avenue, 6-14 Oakmount Road and Part of 18 and 18A Oakmount Road (Source Account: XR3026-3700591), to the Friends of High Park Zoo for state of good repair work and improvements to the llama and capybara building in High Park Zoo, upon receipt of invoices satisfactory to, and provided the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation.

  
3.  City Council authorize the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to amend the Construction and Licence Agreement dated January 1, 2017 between the City and the Friends of High Park Zoo, to allow for the transfer of $200,000 from the City to the Friends of High Park Zoo, to be used for the purpose of the Llama and Capybara Building Rehabilitation Project at the High Park Zoo, provided that the Friends of High Park Zoo is to use its $50,000 contribution before receiving any funds from the City, on terms and conditions acceptable to the General Manager and the City Solicitor.
