EX25.26 - Smart City Initiative

The Executive Committee:
1. Requested the Chief Information Officer and the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture to give a presentation on the Smart City Initiative at the September 26, 2017 Executive Committee meeting.
In an effort to support the efforts to advance the City of Toronto into a "Smarter City" it would be beneficial to have an update on the project and collaborations the city is currently undertaking.
On May 10, 2017 the Toronto Region Board of Trade (TRBOT) hosted the 2nd Annual Toronto Region Board of Trade Smart Cities Summit where the Toronto Region Board of Trade Smart Cities report was released. The report was created by the Smart Cities Working Group (SCWG), a collaboration of 35+ public, private and academic organizations including City staff.
