City Council Decision
City Council on November 7, 8 and 9, 2017, adopted the following:
1. City Council adopt the confidential instructions to staff attached to motion 1 by Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam.
2. City Council authorize the public release of the confidential instructions to staff adopted by City Council in Part 1 above.
3. City Council authorize the public release of Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor as amended by the confidential instructions to staff in Part 1 above.
4. City Council direct that Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor remain confidential at the discretion of the City Solicitor as it is subject to solicitor-client privilege.
The confidential instructions to staff attached to motion 1 by Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam were adopted by City Council and are now public as follows:
1. City Council replace page 3 of Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor with the new page 3 attached to motion 1 by Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam showing 279, 281, 281½, 283, 283½ George Street to remain in the apartment neighbourhood designation.
2 City Council direct the City Solicitor, together with City Planning staff and other appropriate staff, to attend the Ontario Municipal Board pre-hearing on December 7, 2017 to support the approval of OPA 82 in modified form as set out in Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor, as amended by Part 1 above.
Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor remains confidential at this time in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it contains advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege. Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor will be made public at the discretion of the City Solicitor.
Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (October 31, 2017) from the City Solicitor, as amended by the confidential instructions to staff adopted by City Council, is now public and can be accessed under Background Information (City Council).
