City Council Decision
City Council on May 3, 4 and 5, 2016, adopted the following:
1. City Council amend Item TE 7.8 by:
a. deleting Part 6. c. as a requirement to be satisfied prior to the issuance of a preliminary approval for a Section 111 permit for the demolition of two rental units at 503 Adelaide Street West under Municipal Code Chapter 667:
6.c. The issuance of notice of Approval Conditions for Site Plan approval of the subject lands by the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning or designate, pursuant to Section 114 of the City of Toronto Act, 2006; and
b. deleting Part 8 as a requirement to be satisfied prior to the issuance of a permit under Section 33 of the Planning Act for the demolition of 503 Adelaide Street West:
8. City Council authorize the Chief Building Official and Executive Director, Toronto Building, to issue a permit under Section 33 of the Planning Act for 503 Adelaide Street West no earlier than issuance of the first permit for excavation and shoring of the development, and after the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning has given the preliminary approval referred to in Part 6 above which permit may be included in the demolition permit for Chapter 667 under 363-11.1 of the Municipal Code.

That Councillor Joe Cressy be permitted to add to the agenda of today's meeting an urgent Motion without Notice concerning:
Amendment to TE7.8 – Zoning Amendment Application – 602-622 King Street West, 499, 503 and 505 Adelaide Street West and 1 and 11 Adelaide Place
Reason for Urgency:
This Motion is urgent as the applicant needs to begin shoring and excavation work to be able to meet the deadline imposed by a major office tenant.
Speaker Nunziata advised Council that consideration of Motion MM18.36 requires a re-opening of Item TE7.8 (City Council – July 7, 8 and 9, 2015). A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to re-open the Item.
That in accordance with Chapter 27, Council Procedures, City Council reconsider Motion MM18.36.
That City Council amend Item TE 7.8 by deleting the following Part 8 as a requirement to be satisfied prior to the issuance of a permit under Section 33 of the Planning Act for the demolition of 503 Adelaide Street West:
8.
