City Council Decision
City Council on March 31, April 1 and 2, 2015, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the City Manager to work with City divisions and stakeholders, including the Disability Issues Committee, on updating the Accessibility Design Guidelines, and report back in the third quarter of 2015.
2. City Council direct the City Manager to work with City divisions to ensure that City by-laws, policies, and protocols align with standards for the built environment and design of public space under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Ontario Building Code, by the end of 2015, and report to Council, where required, on any changes that are needed.
3. City Council direct the City Manager to report back to Council on similar alignments for all other Integrated Accessibility Regulation Standards as per the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (Customer Service, Employment, Information and Communication, Transportation) in order to support the City's priority of enhancing accessibility.

That City Council delete the recommendations and replace them with the following:
1. City Council direct the City Manager to work with City divisions and stakeholders, including the Disability Issues Committee, on updating the Accessibility Design Guidelines, and report back in the third quarter of 2015.
