City Council Decision
City Council on December 11, 2014, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the Chief Corporate Officer to present the City’s latest emergency evacuation policy, plans and procedures covering Council Chamber and Committee Rooms at City Hall and at Toronto’s Civic Centres to the Executive Committee for review in closed session.
2. City Council direct the Chief Corporate Officer to test the effectiveness of the current plan by implementing a security exercise including the Members of Council, the City Clerk's staff and other City staff who attend City Council and Committee meetings by the end of January 2015.
Motions (City Council)
Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM2.2 be referred to the Executive Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
