Item - 2014.CC55.13

City Council on August 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2014, adopted the following:

1.         City Council adopt the confidential instructions to staff contained in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (August 18, 2014) from the City Solicitor.

2.         City Council direct that the Recommendations in Confidential Attachment 1 and Maps 2, 3, and 4 be released at the discretion of the City Solicitor as described in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (August 18, 2014), with the balance of Attachment 1 to remain confidential.

3.         With respect to the report (August 18, 2014) from the City Solicitor titled "Central Waterfront Secondary Plan, East Bayfront and North Keating Precincts - Further Request for Directions Report" and Item TE33.19 titled "Central Waterfront Secondary Plan - Request for Directions Report" adopted by City Council on July 8, 2014, and in light of certain concerns raised by the appellants regarding development charges and the provision and tenure of Affordable Rental Housing, City Council direct the City Solicitor to prioritize the discussion of the concerns raised by the appellants and report back to the December 11, 2014 City Council meeting regarding any potential resolution of these concerns and the outstanding Ontario Municipal Board appeals.

Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (August 18, 2014) from the City Solicitor remains confidential in accordance with the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it relates to advice or communications that are subject to solicitor-client privilege and pertains to litigation or potential litigation that affects the City.
