City Council Decision
City Council on October 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2013, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint the physicians named in Confidential Attachment 1 of the report (September 10, 2013) from the Medical Officer of Health as Associate Medical Officers of Health for the City of Toronto Health Unit.
2. City Council transmit Council's decision to the Provincial Minister of Health and Long-Term Care for approval of the appointments in this Item.
3. City Council authorize the introduction of the necessary Bill in Council to appoint the physicians named in Confidential Attachment 1 of the report (September 10, 2013) form the Medical Officer of Health as Associate Medical Officers of Health, subject to the approval of the Provincial Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.
4. City Council authorize the release of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (September 10, 2013) from the Medical Officer of Health.
City Council has appointed the following physicians as Associate Medical Officers of Health for the City of Toronto Health Unit:
Dr. Monica Hau, MD, MSc, CCFP, FRCP(C)
(commenced work on July 17, 2013)
Dr. Jin Hee Kim, MD, CCFP, MPH, FRCPC
(commenced work on July 15, 2013)
Dr. Kit Young-Hoon, MBBS, MPH, MSc, FRCPC
(commenced work on August 19, 2013)

Board Recommendations
The Board of Health recommends that:
1. City Council appoint the physicians named in Confidential Attachment 1 of the report (September 10, 2013) from the Medical Officer of Health as Associate Medical Officers of Health for the City of Toronto Health Unit;
2. City Council transmit Recommendation 1 to the provincial Minister of Health and Long-Term Care for approval of the appointments in this recommendation;
3. City Council grant authority to introduce the necessary Bill in Council to appoint the physicians named in Confidential Attachment 1 of the report (September 10, 2013) form the Medical Officer of Health as Associate Medical Officers of Health, subject to the approval of the provincial Minister of Health and Long-Term Care; and
4. City Council authorize the release of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (September 10, 2013) from the Medical Officer of Health once adopted.
