City Council Decision
City Council on October 30, 31 and November 1, 2012, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint the candidate identified in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 29, 2012) from the City Manager to the position of Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Toronto, with such appointment to be effective following written acceptance by the candidate of the terms and conditions of a contract of employment offered by the City.
2. City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate terms and conditions of employment with a start date mutually agreed on by the City and the candidate, or the date the contract is signed by the approved candidate, whichever is later.
3. City Council authorize and direct the appropriate City Officials to take the necessary action to give effect to Council's decision, including the introduction in Council of any bills.
4. City Council authorize the public release of the candidate's name in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 29, 2012) from the City Manager.
City Council has appointed Roberto Rossini to the position of Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
The balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (October 29, 2012) from the City Manager remains confidential in its entirety in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006 as it contains personal information about an identifiable individual.
