Motions (City Council)

1 - Motion to Amend Item moved by Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam (Out of Order)

That City Council direct the City Manager to:

1.         consult further with the lawn bowling clubs on the permit fees;

2.          in the interim, waive the lawn bowling permit fees for the balance of 2012;

3.          provide a credit against next year's permit fees to those clubs that have already paid their 2012 fees; and

4.          offset the shortfall resulting from the waiving of fees from projected underspending in the 2012 Parks, Forestry and Recreation Operating Budget.

Ruling by Speaker Frances Nunziata (Upheld)
Speaking Nunziata ruled Councillor Wong-Tam's motion out of order in its current form as the issue of lawn bowling club fees is currently with the Budget Committtee and a motion is required to seize that matter from the Committee.
Challenged by Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam

Motion to Remove from Committee (Lost)
