Community Council Decision
Scarborough Community Council directed the City Clerk:
1. to contact the Terry Fox Foundation requesting the use of his name at an exhibit to be prepared in the lobby of the Scarborough Civic Centre and the Silver tray and T-shirt presented to Terry as well as video clips of his 1980 visit; and
2. in collaboration with the Facilities Division, to mount an exhibit of archival photographs of Terry's historic visit to Scarborough together with the objects described in (1) if the required permissions are obtained.

“To commemorate Terry Fox's memorable visit to Scarborough on July 10, 1980, coincident with the 2011 Terry Fox run, the Scarborough Community Council direct the City Clerk:
a. to contact the Terry Fox Foundation requesting the use of his name at an exhibit to be prepared in the lobby of the Scarborough Civic Centre and the Silver tray and T-shirt presented to Terry as well as video clips of his 1980 visit;
b. in collaboration with the Facilities Division, to mount an exhibit of archival photographs of Terry's historic visit to Scarborough together with the objects described in (a) if the required permissions are obtained.”
