Before You Start

To submit your application, you will need:

  • A valid credit card to pay the application fee. There is a credit card cap of $25,000 in this application.
  • Fees do not apply to trees in Ravines and City Parks, as confirmed by Urban Forestry.
  • The required documents as described on Application for a Permit to Injure or Destroy (Remove) Trees and/or Place or dump fill or alter the grade of land within lands protected under the Ravine and Natural Feature Protection By-law.

Parks, Forestry and Recreation collects personal information on this form under the authority of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, SO 2006, Chapter 11, Schedule A, s 136 (c); City of Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 658 Ravine and Natural Feature Protection and Municipal Code, Chapter 813, Article II, Trees on City Streets and Article III, Private Tree Protection. The information is used to process your application and notify you of meetings related to your application. Terms of Use

1. General By using this website for the City of Toronto's Application Name (the "Site") you agree to the current version of these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). The City of Toronto (the "City") may change the Terms at any time without notice. The changed Terms will be posted on the Site, and you should read them before using the Site. You may be requested to agree to separate terms of use for other specific applications elsewhere on the City of Toronto's website. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, you will not be able to register or make payments on-line. 2. Liability By using this application, you acknowledge that the City provides the application on an "as is", "as available" basis. The City does not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements with respect to the application 'itself'. You also acknowledge that the information obtained through this application is considered complete and up-to-date to the best knowledge of the City; however the City does not warrant against errors, omissions, and/or discrepancies with other sources. The City is not responsible for, and will not be liable to you or anyone else, for any damages whatsoever, including any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the application. 3. Copyright The text, images and data (the "Content") on the Site are protected by the Canadian Copyright Act. The City grants you a personal non-exclusive licence to read, download and print copies of the Content. You may reproduce the Content of the Site for non-commercial purposes, if you cite the City as the source. This citation must refer to the City's copyright and include the web address where the Content was located. If Content on the Site refers to another person's or organization's copyright, you must get written permission from the owner of that copyright before making use of that Content. You do not gain any ownership rights to any of the Content you gain access to through the Site. 4. On-line Payments If you are making a payment through this Site, you acknowledge that your receipt of an electronic form or other form of confirmation of payment does not signify the City's receipt of acceptance of your payment. Your payment shall be deemed to constitute an offer to pay that will be accepted by the City only upon successful credit card payment. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, you will not be able to register or make payments on-line. 5. Other Terms To use the Site, you also agree to the following terms: (i) You will not change any information or material found on the Site including any information posted by other users; (ii) You will not violate (or try to violate) the security of the Site by hacking, cracking, mail bombing, mounting a denial of service attack, breaching of netiquette, or any other similar malicious, careless or negligent acts; (iii) You will not impersonate any other person or entity or make any misrepresentations; (iv) You will not upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, vulgar, obscene, libellous or otherwise objectionable and that may invade another's right of privacy; (v) You agree that the City is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury that you may experience as a result of using the Site including, but not limited to, situations caused by viruses or other technical problems; (vi) You agree to be bound by Ontario laws in your use of the Site and you agree that any court proceedings relating to your use of the Site will take place in Ontario; and (vii) You agree that even if the City does not insist on or enforce an item in the Terms, the City still has the right to insist on and enforce that item.
