The City has received the following application under Section 36 of the Planning Act:

DESCRIPTION

 

This application amends Zoning By-law 626-2026 to remove the holding symbol (H) for 291 Lake Shore Boulevard East, 2 Small Street and 200 Queens Quay East. The holding symbol will be removed for Quayside Blocks 1B, 1C and 2 only. Removal of the holding symbol will permit a mixed-use development with two towers and two midrise buildings. 1,734 units are proposed, including 563 affordable housing units. 3,461 square metres of non-residential uses are proposed, including a private daycare and a Toronto Public Library. The location where the holding symbol (H) would be removed is noted on the map below.

You may send written comments by mail or email to the Community Planner noted under Contact. Your written comments must be submitted no later than September 14, 2026, to be considered by the Executive Director, Development Review or their designate, Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District. A decision by the Executive Director, Development Review or their designate as to whether to remove the holding symbol (H) will occur no earlier than September 15, 2026.
