NOTICE OF INTENTION TO REMOVE A HOLDING SYMBOL (H) FROM ZONING BY-LAW 842-2020

(Under the Planning Act)

The City has received the following application under Section 36 of the Planning Act:

DESCRIPTION

The application proposes to amend Zoning By-law 842-2020 to remove the holding symbol (H) to permit Phase 2, Site 9 and part of Site 17 of the Alexandra Park Revitalization. The proposal includes a 12-storey apartment building on the east side and a 4-storey back-to-back stacked townhouse building on the west side, with a central courtyard between the two buildings on Site 9 and a Community Recreation Hub & Local Social Enterprise Centre on Site 17 (the eastern portion of Site 17). The holding provision was placed on the originally approved Zoning By-law Amendment to ensure further review of the updated Detailed Context Plans, Construction Mitigation and Safety Plan and Tenant Communication Strategy, Tenant Relocation and Assistance Plan, execution of a subdivision agreement, Housing Issues report, the Community Services and Facilities Implementation Plan, and confirmation of financing for proposed infrastructure. The location of where the holding symbol (H) would be removed is noted on the map below.

Your written comments must be submitted no later July 3, 2026 to be considered by the Executive Director, Development Review or their designate, the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York South District. A decision by the Executive Director, Development Review or their designate as to whether to remove the holding symbol (H) will occur no earlier than July 21, 2026.
