PROPOSAL
The purpose of these Official Plan Amendments is to bring forward two new Site and Area Specific Policies (SASPs) for the subject lands. The amendments would replace the current policies of SASP 848 for the Leslie Site; and of SASP 828 for the Wynford-Gervais Site, to introduce a new policy framework for each. The boundary of SASP 828 would also be expanded to include the lands known as 1200 Eglinton Avenue East. The purpose of the updated SASP policy frameworks is to guide the development of transit supportive, mixed-use, complete communities through a connected network of new local streets and mid-block connections, new parkland, a mix of residential and non-residential uses, diverse housing opportunities and a high quality public realm.
There will changes made to the Official Plan Maps and Schedules. The Leslie Site will be redesignated from Regeneration Areas to Mixed Use Areas and Natural Areas, and the Wynford-Gervais Site will be redesignated from Regeneration Areas to Mixed Use Areas.
