NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AN OFFICIAL PLAN
AMENDMENT PURSUANT TO SUBSECTION 17(23) AND 26(1) OF THE PLANNING ACT
TAKE NOTICE that the City of Toronto adopted Official Plan Amendment 923
on July 30, 2026, by By-law 984-2026, with respect to delineating a Protected Major
Transit Station Area – Mount Dennis Station as Site and Area Specific Policy
671 (SASP 671) for Ministerial approval.
OPA 923 amends the Toronto Official Plan by adding Site and Area
Specific Policy 671 for Mount Dennis Station to Chapter 8 of the Official Plan.
The purpose and effect of Official Plan Amendment 923 is to:

Delineate the boundaries of Mount Dennis Station
protected major transit station area;
·
Set the minimum number of residents and jobs per
hectare that are planned for the protected major transit station area;
·
Identify the authorized use of land; and
·
Establish minimum densities as floor space indices
that new development in the transit station area will be required to meet.
Council has resolved that this Official
Plan Amendment is consistent with the Provincial Planning Statement (2024), in
conformity with the Greenbelt Plan (2017), and has regard to matters of
provincial interest under Section 2 of the Planning Act. The Official Plan
Amendment will be submitted to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing
for approval pursuant to Sections 16(18), 17(22) and 26 of the Planning Act.
Pursuant to subsection 17(16) of the Planning
Act, a statutory open house was held on June 22, 2026, during which the
public was given an opportunity to review and ask questions of City staff about
information and material made available under subsection 17(15)(c) of the Planning Act, including the proposed
Official Plan Amendment.
A statutory special public meeting was held on July 7,
2026 and the Etobicoke York Community Council and
Toronto City Council considered no oral and one written submission in making

The Official Plan Amendment will be submitted for Ministerial approval

Any person or public body is entitled to receive notice of the decision
of the approval authority, which is the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, if a written
request to be notified of the decision (including the person's or public body's
address) is made to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing at the
address provided. The Decision of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing
on the proposed Official Plan Amendments are not appealable to the Ontario Land
Tribunal, pursuant to subsections 17(36.5) and 21(3) of the Planning Act.
