NOTICE OF DECISION

 

 

Take notice that the Council of the City of Toronto on February 2, 3 and 5, 2021, having considered an application to alter a structure designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act for 130 Bloor Street West, decided among other things, to

 

1.  Approve alterations to the heritage property at 130 Bloor Street West in accordance with Section 2.1 of the Heritage Easement Agreement, registered on the title for the heritage property at 130 Bloor Street West, Instrument AT1381354 dated February 20, 2007, substantially in accordance with the Heritage Impact Assessment, dated September 25, 2020 and prepared by ERA Architects Inc. and the plans and drawings prepared by Shim-Sutcliffe Architects  Inc. attached as Appendix 4 to the Heritage Impact Assessment, all on file with the Senior Manager, Heritage Planning subject to the following condition:

 

a.  prior to alterations taking place, the owner shall provide a Conservation Plan prepared by a qualified heritage consultant that is substantially in accordance with the conservation strategy set out in the Heritage Impact Assessment, dated September 25, 2020 and prepared by ERA Architects Inc. and the plans and drawings prepared by Shim-Sutcliffe Architects  Inc. attached as Appendix 4 to the Heritage Impact Assessment, to the satisfaction of the Senior Manager, Heritage Planning, who will review the submission expeditiously;

 

Appeal to the Conservation Review Board:

The Ontario Heritage Act states that where a Council consents to an application to alter a designated property with certain terms or conditions, or refuses the application, the owner may, within thirty days after receipt of this notice, apply to the Council for a hearing before the Conservation Review Board.

The owner may request a hearing before the Conservation Review Board in this matter, by writing to the City Clerk:  Attention Ellen Devlin, Administrator, Toronto and East York Community Council, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, 2nd floor, West, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 2N2, by 4.30 p.m. on or before March 10, 2021.
