Royal Alexandra Theatre, 1907, John M. Lyle -adopted by City Council on June 20, 1973 DESIGNATION BY-LAW PASSED BY CITY COUNCIL on Nov. 25, 1975 (designation plaque - 1978).
City Council adopted by-law #1238-2012 to amend former City of Toronto By-law No. 512-75, being a by-law to designate the property at 260 King Street West (Royal Alexandra Theatre) as being of cultural heritage value or interest by revising the reasons for designation to include a statement of cultural heritage value and a description of heritage attributes.
Heritage Easement Agreement registered as Instrument # AT4638613 on July 27, 2017.
Also, part of the King-Spadina Heritage Conservation District, adopted by City Council on October 4, 2017, by by-law 1241-2017, which is currently under appeal.
